“A democracy divided against itself is destined to die.” – Alexander. S. Vindman
Social media is often a tribal experience, with each side seeking only to refute the other. Even respected news organizations lose sight of objectivity in order to play to the crowd.
We seek to find objective truth rather than take sides with the left or the right. We believe that there is value to seeking the truth, regardless of what that means for our own views, likes, subscribes, or follows.
The New Media Times was created to bring fact-based reporting and analysis to the digital conversation. Whatever your view of social media, it is impossible to deny its impact on all aspects of society.
As is now clear, societies ignore what happens on social media to their own peril. We exist to shine a light on the digital world, so that everyone is aware of what transpires there.
In order to achieve this mission, we monitor what is going on in the social media world. We categorize, analyze, and preserve it for history. When helpful, we use digital marketing analytics tools to measure the influence and impact of social media activity.
Above all we seek to educate and inform, and do so in an engaging way. We believe ultimately that, “the truth will set you free” and that there is great value to monitoring the New Media that has, and continues to, change our world.
